Lower your taxes on growing land

The next Landowners Lunch and Learn event will help you lower your taxes on land used for growing crops, trees or other plantings. On Tuesday, July 18 at 11 a.m., Ms. Renee Davis, Tax Supervisor of Bladen County, NC, will speak on how to complete the application for Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Present-Use Value Assessment.

This series is being coordinated by Ms. Wanda Campbell Clay, to help historically underserved landowners retain, maintain and gain from the land they own. In this presentation, Ms. Davis will help attendees fill out and apply for a reduced tax rate on their eligible property.

Funded by a CNEF grant through the Conservation Fund and the Z. Smith Foundation, this series helps landowners learn ways to retain, maintain and gain from their property, especially for historically underserved populations.

Lunch will be included in the program for those who are registered by 10 a.m. on July 17. Register by calling the George Henry White Memorial Center (910-445-0269) or by clicking on the button below.
