Our local project superintendent, Ocie Jones, shared with us this sad news. "Miss Mary L. Simmons, sister of Miss Barbara Moore, passed away this past April. Miss Mary was a strong supporter of the George Henry White Memorial Health and Education Center Project. "She picked out every plant that is the landscaping scheme at the center including specially the rose bed. She, her sister, and I spent over $700.00 in plants for the site. "Miss Mary was also one of our Hospitality Home Team, along with Miss Barbara, who prepared the meals for the Bay Leaf Church Builders when they constructed the handicap access ramp and the replacement of the front porch. "Miss Mary was a wonderful sweet soul and she will be missed." We join all those whose lives were touched by Miss Mary Simmons in celebrating her lovely, giving and joyful spirit, and we rejoice that she is home, embraced in the love of our Lord.
